Eddie Jackson, AKA Fast Eddie, AKA The Conductor, can add another nickname to his belt:
The History Maker.
Okay fine, that’s a terrible nickname and likely won’t stick. But it’s true all the same. On the strength of his three defensive touchdowns this month and his two last year against the Panthers, Fast Eddie has tied three records — one for the Bears, two for the NFL.
- Most defensive touchdowns in first two NFL seasons (5, tied with Jets safety Erik McMillan in 1989 and 1990)
- Most defensive touchdowns in one month (3, tied with four others, most recently Oakland’s Eric Allen in December of 2000)
- Most defensive touchdowns in a Bears season (3, tied with Peanut in 2012)
Jackson’s five defensive touchdowns are the most since he was drafted in 2017.
