At his Thursday press conference, Chicago Bears head coach Matt Nagy said that running back David Montgomery would return to practice today, thus opening the three week window that the team now has to activate him from injured reserve. Montgomery hurt his knee on October 4 against the Detroit Lions, and initial speculation was that the knee sprain would keep him sidelined about a month.
With the Bears playing on Monday night this week their usual practice schedule has been moved back a day, so they practiced at Halas Hall today, then again tomorrow, and they’ll wrap up the week of practice on Saturday.
