Crossed wires: Windy City Gridiron picks Bears-Chargers

Like the Bears, the Chargers once had high hopes for the 2019 season. A year removed from a 12-4 campaign saw Los Angeles B primed to take advantage of another weak AFC. Yet ever since they overcame the formidable Colts, Phillip Rivers’ ragtag bunch has resorted to the same old habits of self-inflicted wounds, poor discipline, and self-imposed irrelevance.

If there were ever a week for the Bears to compose themselves and keep their season from derailing, it’d be against the Chargers. But the funny thing is that the Chargers are probably having the same thoughts about the discombobulating Bears.
