The Bears’ most notable online recruiter targeted his biggest fish Thursday: quarterback Deshaun Watson.
Bears returner Cordarrelle Patterson Tweeted at the Texans star’s Twitter account with a simple message: “make some moves this off season fam!!! #DABEARS”
Watson isn’t the first player Patterson has tried to lure to the team on Twitter. He’s insisted for years that it’s playful. But it could certainly be interpreted as a shot at Mitch Trubisky. The quarterback’s contract is up, but he said Sunday he’d like to return to the Bears.
Reports say Watson is frustrated with the direction of the Texans, who just hired Patriots executive Nick Caserio as general manager and are looking for a new coach.
