Bears tight end Cole Kmet was named special teams player of the week after he had six plays as an emergency long-snapper against the Jaguars after Scott Daly suffered an injury.
The award is also a nod to his dual performance in the 35-16 victory at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. Almost immediately after Daly was ruled out, Kmet twice scored a touchdown and then snapped for Cairo Santos’ PAT.
In all, Kmet snapped for the PAT on all five Bears touchdowns. He also snapped for Santos’ 43-yard field goal attempt in the fourth quarter that was blocked.
