After the locker room opened Sunday afternoon, after most of the players showered, dressed and answered questions about another heartbreaking (for them) loss, after Bears coach John Fox perfectly said, “We managed not to win the game,” after the din had died down, reporters waited in an empty locker room for two men to arrive at their lockers: Cre’Von LeBlanc and Alshon Jeffery.
LeBlanc, the undrafted rookie cornerback, was victimized for the biggest play of the Bears’ 30-27 loss to Green Bay. Jeffery, the franchise-tagged star receiver, was ignored for three-quarters of the game, after missing a quarter of the season on a PED suspension, before coming on strong in the fourth quarter.
