Chicago football fans fail Goose Island's field goal challenge in miserable fashion

Breaking news, Chicago football fans: kicking a field goal is no easy task, especially kicks attempted by professionals in the NFL.

Goose Island hosted a field goal-kicking contest outside of its Fulton Street taproom on Saturday. The first 100 arriving contestants received one chance to kick a 43-yard field goal, the distance that Bears kicker Cody Parkey missed during Sunday's playoff loss against the Eagles.

Goose Island was offering NFL tickets for those who successfully kicked the 43-yard field goal. The company also was offering those successful from 43 yards the chance to kick from 65 yards to win Super Bowl LIII tickets.
