On Sunday, the Chicago Bears snapped a 10-game losing streak within the NFC North in grand fashion. The 34-22 final score may not appear to have been a blowout, but the box score does not explain the entire story.
The Bears now find themselves at 6-3, with an even division record and a 4-1 conference record, which could all be key for deciding a playoff spot in December. More importantly, they came out and dominated a team that has beat them nine times in their last 10 meetings. Despite the Detroit Lions 3-6 record, this was a big win for the Bears and was one of (at least) five they’ll need in the final half of the season.
