The Chicago Bears have waived defensive back Demontre Hurst per the league's transaction report. This is the second time Hurst was waived by the Bears in the last month. He was waived, but brought back to the practice squad in September, and then promoted to the active roster earlier this month when starting safety Antrel Rolle was injured.
Hurst was the primary nickleback last year, but this season he's been practicing primarily at safety.
With the Bears cutting Hurst loose, I would imagine they expect starting safety Rolle to be ready to go against the Minnesota Vikings following their week 7 bye.
