Chicago Bears waive Connor Shaw

In a move that will surprise a few Chicago Bears’ fans, it is being reported that team is waiving quarterback Connor Shaw to make room for the newly signed Victor Cruz.

Cruz agreed in principle to a one year, $2 million contract last week, and that will becomes official once he signs on the dotted line. To make room for the 30 year old Cruz, the Bears had to lop one off their 90 man roster, and a fourth quarterback made sense to part ways with.

With their big ticket, free agent pickup Mike Glennon, rookie first round draft pick Mitchell Trubisky, and veteran free agent Mark Sanchez all in need of reps to prepare for the 2017 season, releasing Connor Shaw was a logical decision.
