With the Chicago Bears set to report to training camp tomorrow in Bourbonnais, they've decided to do a little shuffling to the bottom of their roster.
As you may have heard yesterday, the Bears were reported to have inked return specialist A.J. Cruz from the Arena League's Arizona Rattlers. Earlier toady they made that signing official. They also added defensive lineman David Carter, who last played in 2013 with the Dallas Cowboys. To make room for the extra camp body, the Bears waived linebacker Jonathan Brown.
Cruz (5'9", 195) played corner in college at Brown University, but in the Arena League he was a wide out, a defensive back and an occasional linebacker.
