Chicago Bears’ general manager Ryan Pace has announced that the they have reached an agreement to bring long snapper Patrick Scales back for the 2018 season.
Scales tore his ACL last preseason and spent all of 2017 on injured reserve, but before that he appeared in 21 straight games for the Bears. Last year’s long snapper, Andrew DePaola, was recently signed by the Oakland Raiders, and he’s now the highest paid long snapper in the NFL.
The 30-year old Scales was originally an undrafted free agent of the Ravens in 2011.
