Chicago Bears place WR Marquess Wilson on IR, elevate DB Demontre Hurst

The Chicago Bears have elevated safety Demontre Hurst from the practice squad and they have placed wide receiver Marquess Wilson on season ending injured reserve with his foot injury.

Hurst has appeared in 18 games over two years with the Bears, picking up 35 tackles, one interception, one pass break up and one forced fumble. He has also racked up nine tackles on special teams. Before being moved to safety this season, Hurst was the teams primary nickleback last year. Perhaps the Bears want another defensive back on the roster in case current nickleback Bryce Callahan can't play on Sunday with his quad injury.
