Chicago Bears place Jacquizz Rodgers on season ending IR, sign RB Antone Smith

Earlier today the Chicago Bears placed back up running back and special teamer, Jacquizz Rodgers, on season ending injured reserve with a broken arm. To take his place on the roster the Bears added former Atlanta Falcons' running back Antone Smith.

With Rodgers unavailable, we could expect to see more of rookie Jeremy Langford on offense, but 2nd year pro Ka'Deem Carey may still be kept on the sideline. Carey hasn't been able to crack the special teams lineup in his 2 years as a pro, while the newly signed Smith (5'9", 190) averaged 201 3rd phase snaps per season from 2012-2014.
