DeAndre Houston-Carson will enter year four with the Chicago Bears in 2019. However, a couple of months ago, the Bears were ready to let Houston-Carson test the waters of free agency. Houston-Carson has been up and down from the practice squad, so he was an exclusive rights free agent. However, the Bears decided not to tender Houston-Carson.
This meant that the Chicago Bears would be given a chance to match any offer that Houston-Carson got, but they were letting him test the market, and would not get anything in return if he did leave.
