Happy Friday, Bears’ fans! Welcome to the newest edition of Bear Dawn, the latest Chicago Bears news and notes from throughout the web.
The tragic case of Ray McDonald continued on Thursday, as the short-time Bears’ defensive end was officially charged with “felony false imprisonment stemming from a domestic violence report nearly two months ago,” according to Lisa Fernandez of NBCBayArea.com. McDonald “allegedly assaulted his then-fiance as she was holding their 2-month old baby.”
McDonald had a great eight-year career with the San Francisco 49ers, but off-the-field issues started popping up all over the place the past few seasons, completely derailing his career.
