Chicago Bears make roster moves

The Chicago Bears made a few roster moves the last couple of days that affected their practice squad and the bottom of their active roster.

On Wednesday the Bears waived outside linebacker Sam Kamara from their 53-man roster, which leaves them at 52 active players. They also released running back Chris Thompson from their practice squad and signed outside linebacker Cassius Marsh to the practice squad. The 29-year old Marsh (6’4”, 254) was originally a 4th round draft pick of the Seattle Seahawks in 2014, and the Bears are his eighth professional team. He has started 9 of the 93 games he’s appeared in, but he has extensive special teams experience.
