When the Chicago Bears decided to add Quintin Demps to injured reserve last week, that left them one short on their 53 man roster. Earlier today they rectified that situation by promoting wide receiver Tre McBride from the practice squad. That may not have been the wide out some of you were hoping for, but he does have legitimate stretch the field speed as evidenced by his 4.37 forty at the 2015 NFL Combine.
Wide out Tanner Genrty remains on the practice squad, and while many were hoping for some Mitchel Trubisky to Gentry magic, at this point in the game, McBride’s three years bouncing around the NFL give shim the edge.
