Chicago Bears Injury Update: David Montgomery is in concussion protocol

During yesterday’s game in Tennessee, Chicago Bears running back David Montgomery left with an apparent shoulder injury, but the Bears announced that he was being evaluated for a concussion. Today in his Zoom press conference, head coach Matt Nagy confirmed that it was a head injury and that Montgomery is now in the league's concussion protocol.

With Montgomery out against the Titans the Bears used Ryan Nall a bit more, and rookie undrafted free agent Artavis Pierce saw a snap as well.

The Bears do have veteran running back Lamar Miller on the practice squad if Montgomery isn’t cleared by Monday night for their game against the Minnesota Vikings, and Cordarrelle Patterson could be in line for more time at tailback as well.
