Today after practice, Chicago Bears head coach John Fox announced that reserve interior offensive lineman Eric Kush tore his hamstring and will have season ending surgery.
Kush was inked to a two year deal this off season after playing 2016 with the Bears, when he appeared in eight games, while making four starts.
With Kush sidelined, there will be a spot available on the opening day 53 man roster, as Kush was probably set to be the first interior lineman off the bench. He’s played all three interior spots in the past, so this increases the chances that Hroniss Grasu makes the team.
