With starting inside linebacker Shea McClellin ailing with a knee injury, the Chicago Bears promoted rookie undrafted free agent Jonathan Anderson from their practice squad to fill the final spot on the 53 man roster.
During preseason the 6'3', 227 pound TCU product had seven tackles, two sacks, three tackles for loss, and a forced fumble while playing defense. Anderson also added two tackles on special teams.
Yesterday Brad Biggs reported that the Bears worked out linebackers Lawrence Sidbury, Trevardo Williams and Jonathan Massaquoi, but ultimately the Bears stayed in house to fill the roster spot that was opened when David Fales was cut.
