Chicago Bears elevate John Timu, waive Ziggy Hood, add 2 to the practice squad

Besides the expected news on rookie wide receiver Kevin White, the Chicago Bears also announced a couple other moves today as well.

They have elevated inside linebacker John Timu from the practice squad and waived defensive lineman Ziggy Hood. The Bears now have two open spots on their practice squad.

Timu was a surprising member of the opening day 53 man roster after being an undrafted free agent from the University of Washington. He played the first 4 games this year on special teams before being waived, but then he was immediately brought back to the practice squad where he has been ever since.
