Earlier today the Bears elevated safety Demontre Hurst from their practice squad to fill the 53rd and final spot on the active roster. Hurst was the primary nickleback last year, but this offseason he was transitioning to safety and that's where the Bears now list him.
Taking Hurst's spot on the practice squad is guard/center Ryan Seymour, who was most recently with the Cleveland Browns.
