The Bears are nearing the conclusion of their historic 100th season, and a recent work of art depicted the team’s illustrious history in unique fashion.
Dan Duffy, the founder of Art of Words, recently constructed a piece depicting Soldier Field, as well as the Chicago skyline, recreated with the names of every single player to play for the Bears from 1920 to 2018. The 16”x20” piece took about 200 hours between research, coloring, sketching and shading, and it features 1,683 names printed on acid-free, archival matte paper.
From Red Grange to Khalil Mack, Dick Butkus to Walter Payton, and Cade McNown to Kevin White, the piece features many names that will take you on a trip down memory lane.
