Cameron Meredith suffers torn ligaments in his thumb

  • Chicago Bears wide receiver Cameron Meredith will miss the rest of the team’s offseason program after suffering a ligament tear in his thumb Thursday, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
  • Meredith had somewhat of a break-out season as he took over as a starter for the first time in his career, earning a PFF grade of 74.5 overall that put him just slightly behind Kendall Wright as the receiver on the roster with the highest 2016 grade.
  • The third-year receiver really made his mark on the deep ball last year.
