LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- Most NFL players treasure the bye week.
Not Matt Forte.
The Bears veteran tailback made it clear that he wanted no part of the off week after the club dropped a brutal 37-34 overtime decision to Detroit.
“It’s frustrating. I’m pissed off about it,” Forte said. “I don’t want to go to the bye week. I want to focus on the next team.”
Forte’s frustration is understandable given the high number of chances Chicago squandered to finish off the winless Lions.
“The game was basically given to us,” Forte said.
