Brian Urlacher is one step closer toward getting a gold jacket.
The former Bears great was named one of 15 modern-era finalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Tuesday night, and is one of four first-year eligible players (Steve Hutchinson, Ray Lewis and Randy Moss).
In 13 seasons in the NFL — all with the Bears from 2000-2012 — Urlacher registered 41.5 sacks, 22 interceptions and scored five touchdowns (two interception returns, two fumble recoveries and one reception). He was also voted to the Pro Bowl eight times, named All-Pro five times and finished his career as Chicago's all-time leading tackler.
