Blue Jackets' Lukas Sedlak to miss six weeks with ankle injury

Related Topics: Lukáš Sedlák, John Tortorella

Blue Jackets center Lukas Sedlak will miss approximately six weeks after suffering an ankle injury in today's practice. Sedlak, the club's fourth-line center, went down about 45 minutes into practice. He left the ice under his own power but did not return.

To replace him on the roster, the Blue Jackets recalled left wing Markus Hannikainen from minor-league Cleveland. To replace him in the lineup beginning on Wednesday vs. Buffalo, the club could turn to veteran Zac Dalpe, who has played center throughout his pro career.

It's a tough loss for the Jackets. In training camp, the Jackets moved veteran left winger Nick Foligno to center because they were short of depth down the middle.
