West Michigan Whitecaps 2017 season in review
Record: 91-45 (1st of 8: Midwest League East)
Attendance: 383,983 (2016: 386,416 )
Despite the lack of playoff appearances for the majority of the Tigers minor-league affiliates, postseason baseball is becoming a normality in West Michigan.
After taking home a Midwest League title in 2007, it wasn’t until the introduction of manager Andrew Graham in 2014 that the Whitecaps made their first trip back to the postseason and have maintained that consistency ever since. West Michigan secured a postseason berth in each of Graham’s three seasons, including adding another Midwest League championship trophy to the case in 2015.
