LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- Chicago Bears wide receiver Marquess Wilson fractured his left foot for the third time since 2015 and is out indefinitely, coach John Fox announced Friday.
"They're still evaluating if he needs surgery," Fox said. "It is the same basic injury [he's suffered before]. They don't know the exact extent, but it is re-broken and they're still evaluating."
Wilson, who broke the foot at practice, will probably land on injured reserve before the Bears play the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. The Bears have a roster exemption until Saturday for recently reinstated wide receiver Alshon Jeffery, who can take Wilson's spot on the 53-man roster.
