Bears WR Kevin White to have surgery on stress fracture, could miss season

The Bears were hit with some crushing news on Saturday morning.

Bears GM Ryan Pace announced that rookie wide receiver Kevin White will undergo surgery on a stress fracture in his left shin and will begin the season on the Physically Unable to Perform list.

"Is there a chance he misses the entire season? That's a possibility," Pace said before training camp practice in Bourbonnais.

White, the Bears seventh overall selection in the 2015 NFL Draft, began camp on the PUP list. He began light running early last week, but the pain returned, and the Bears opted that White undergo surgery.
