LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- Chicago Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffery missed practice Thursday because of an illness, coach John Fox said.
Jeffery is also dealing with tightness in a calf that caused him to be limited Wednesday.
The Bears cannot afford to be without Jeffery for the final three weeks of the season. He ranks fourth in the NFL averaging 99.6 receiving yards per game. In six career games against the Vikings, Jeffery has 39 receptions for 602 yards and five touchdowns.
“I think Alshon has an uncanny ability to know kind of what to do at the top of routes, back shoulder, over the top,” Bears quarterback Jay Cutler said.
