According to Howard Balzer, the Chicago Bears brought in four free agents for tryouts on Tuesday including TE Josiah Price, TE Beau Sandland, TE Colin Thompson and WR Rodney Smith.
Of this group, the Bears elected to sign Thompson to their practice squad.
Smith, 27, originally signed on with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent out of Florida State back in 2013. He bounced on and off their practice squad before being claimed by the Browns.
Smith caught on with the Cowboys practice squad last year before signing with the Seahawks at the start of the 2016 season.
