Wide receiver Kevin White will have surgery on his broken left fibula this week, an injury suffered in the win over the Detroit Lions and which ended a promising de facto rookie season. Notably, and potentially very significantly, White is not being ruled out for the season and could come back, although not before the Dec. 4 game against the San Francisco 49ers.
“I think time-wise he'd still have a shot to come back at some point in the season,” Bears head coach John Fox confirmed on Monday.
But a second question looms, ironically the same one that faced White and the Bears around that time last season.
