LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- The Chicago Bears plan to re-evaluate their red zone offense after twice failing to score touchdowns from inside the 10-yard line at Ford Field on Sunday.
The official NFL statistics book stated the Bears were 3-for-8 (38 percent) in red zone efficiency in the overtime loss to Detroit, but the true number is 3-for-7. The Bears had no choice but to kick a field goal on first-and-10 from the Lions' 11-yard line with four seconds left in regulation, which skewed the percentage.
“I think it's a hard part of the field,” Bears head coach John Fox said.
