LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- Wide receiver Tre McBride played 78 percent of the Chicago Bears' offensive snaps in last Sunday’s 31-3 loss to the Eagles.
On Tuesday, the Bears waived McBride without a corresponding roster move.
“Just kind of churning the roster,” Bears coach John Fox explained on Wednesday.
“It’s a changeup. We’ll play some other guys. We get Josh Bellamy back who we missed last week. I think that’s a big factor as well.”
McBride and Bellamy, however, managed to co-exist on the 53-man roster with no issues for much of the year.
