The Bears’ ongoing kicker competition started out well for Elliott Fry and Eddy Pineiro, but they’ve skidded recently. Fry slipped in the rainy practice Monday, and Pineiro missed two kicks in perfect conditions Tuesday.
“We’ll look forward to him continuing to bounce back from it,” coach Matt Nagy said. “We’ll keep charts on how this goes. They all matter.”
Nagy has been alternating days for the kickers, and Fry is scheduled to have the Thursday morning practice to himself.
