ATLANTA – The Bears’ day went from bad to worse Sunday when running back Tarik Cohen was carted from the sideline to the locker room in the fourth quarter.
Cohen, the team’s do-everything running back, was fielding a punt when the Falcons’ Brian Hill was pushed into his lower right leg. Cohen was taken to the Bears’ injury tent, and later carted the short distance to the Mercedes-Benz Stadium tunnel.
Cohen was almost immediately ruled out with a knee injury.
Just eight days ago, the Bears gave Cohen a three-year contract extension worth $17.25 million in new money.
