The Bears drafted Iowa’s Tory Taylor, the best punter in college football, in Round 4 on Saturday.
The Australian — and former Australian Rules Football player — finished his career with 4,479 punting yards, an FBS record. He won the Ray Guy Award last year, given to the best player at his position. Between 2021-22, he landed 162 punts inside the 20-yard line. He’s had three punts blocked.
Punting proved to be an important strategy at Iowa, whose offense notoriously struggled the past few years.
