LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Chicago Bears special teams coach Jeff Rodgers gave a fresh vote of confidence on Wednesday to struggling kicker Connor Barth, who through five games has connected on only 5-of-8 field goal attempts (62.5 percent).
“Everything is pointing toward him being capable of making those kicks,” Rodgers said. “If we didn’t feel like he was capable of doing that then I’m sure the decision-makers would make a different decision. But we have all the confidence in the world that we’ll get it turned around and be making kicks going forward.”
