The Chicago Bears cut inside linebacker Josh Woods on Monday to make room for free agent wide out Breshad Perriman, and with Woods making it though waivers unclaimed today, the club signed him to their practice squad. Woods takes the final spot on Chicago’s 16-man squad that you can see right here.
Today was also the first day of the week that teams can submit a protected list of practice squad players, and the Bears were one of 14 teams that did not protect anyone. For those wondering why teams wouldn’t protect anyone, keep in mind that most of these players were literally just on waivers and not one other team wanted them at that time.
