Bears sign veteran Amini Silatolu

The Bears on Wednesday signed free-agent offensive lineman Amini Silatolu.

Silatolu has appeared in 34 games with 28 starts over four seasons with the Carolina Panthers (2012-15). He earned all-rookie honors in 2012 after being selected in the second round (40th overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft by the Carolina Panthers out of Midwestern State.

To make room on the 90-man roster, the team waived QB Dalyn Williams. Williams joined the Bears as an undrafted rookie out of Dartmouth. He attended the Bears' 2016 rookie minicamp on a tryout basis before signing with the team in June.
