The Bears signed second-round draft pick Teven Jenkins to his rookie contract Wednesday, closing the books on their 2021 draft class before the end of mandatory minicamp.
Jenkins has been playing left tackle since the Bears traded up to pick him with the 39th selection in late April. That move allowed them to cut veteran Charles Leno two days later.
Jenkins played right tackle at Oklahoma State, but the Bears are confident he’s athletic enough to move to the left. OSU coach Mike Gundy called him the Cowboys’ most skilled lineman since Russell Okung.
Jenkins was the last Bears pick to sign.
