According to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune, the Chicago Bears have signed New Orleans Saints' tight end Josh Hill to an offer sheet. As a restricted free agent, the Saints have 5 days to match the offer or he will become a member of the Bears. Biggs is reporting that the contract offer is for three years.
Hill, who turns 26 in two months, is a 6'5", 250 pound inline tight end that has enough speed and athleticism to stretch the field. As an undrafted free agent out of Idaho State, he came into the league as more of a receiving threat, but he's become a passable blocker in his three years as a pro.
