According to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Chicago Bears are signing quarterback Kyle Sloter to their practice squad. He’ll provide some additional insurance with back up Mitchell Trubisky still nursing an injured shoulder.
The Bears worked Sloter out in August and then again last week. He’ll join Trubisky, Nick Foles and Tyler Bray in Chicago’s QB room.
The 26-year old Sloter played his college ball at Northern Colorado and he originally entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent of the Denver Broncos in 2017, but he was waived as a part of their final cutdowns.
