The Chicago Bears made a couple roster moves today at the tight end position. First, they were awarded J.P. Holtz via waivers after the Washington Redskins released him yesterday. To make room for Holtz on the 53-man roster they released defensive lineman Abdullah Anderson.
Their other move at tight end was releasing undrafted free agent Dax Raymond from injured reserve with an injury settlement.
The 26-year old Holtz played in Washington’s first game after being activated from their practice squad when tight end Jordan Reed failed to clear the concussion protocol.
