The Bears on Tuesday signed Saints tight end Josh Hill, a restricted free agent, to an offer sheet. New Orleans has five days to match it.
Hill, 25, has spent his first three NFL seasons with the Saints, appearing in 46 games with 13 starts and catching 36 passes for 340 yards and eight touchdowns.
The 6-5, 229-pounder entered the NFL in 2013 as an undrafted free agent from Idaho State when Bears general manager Ryan Pace worked in the Saints’ personnel department.
