The Bears signed Defensive Tackle Daniel McCullers off the Steelers practice squad today, after news that DT John Jenkins missed practice with a thumb Injury.
The 6’7” 348 pound (!) McCullers was drafted in the 6th round by the Steelers in 2014 draft, out of Tennessee. Appearing in 73 games, and notching 3 starts for Pittsburgh, he brings a good combination of size and experience to the Bears defensive front. He’ll likely slot in at Nose Tackle, and could aid that rotation in the absence of Eddie Goldman, who opted out due to Covid-19, and possibly John Jenkins should he be unable to play.
