On Monday the Chicago Bears signed inside linebacker Austin Calitro who last played with the Denver Broncos during the 2020 season. He appeared in 13 games last year with all his reps coming on special teams, but he had 4 starts on defense in 2019 with the Jaguars and 5 starts in 2018 with the Seahawks.
The 27-year old Calitro (6’, 240) was a captain for Villanova as a senior in 2016, and the Bears are his 8th team since being an undrafted free agent of the Jets in 2017.
