Bears: Shea McClellin breaks up Jay Cutler’s 'perfect game'

BOURBONNAIS — All good things have to come to an end. So it was for the Bears on Saturday, their first practice after Thursday night's preseason win over the Miami Dolphins.

Through 11 practices and the Dolphins game, Jay Cutler was working on the quarterback’s equivalent of a perfect game – no interceptions, no fumbles in either a game or the practice sessions closest to game situations.

And then it happened.

Shea McClellin broke on a Cutler throw during “team” period and picked the ball off, ending Cutler’s streak and putting the linebackers on the board.
